It is a netbook so no DVD drive, you need an external one to install stuff on it.The only thing is after a few months I could not connect the wireless at Barnes and Noble bookstores ATT wireless but can at my home wireless. Runs on Windows XP when I bought it, which I wanted instead of Vista; not sure if I will install Windows 7 as MSI site recommends it, but I am happy with Windows XP and Office XP on it, very fast start up and shut down compared to Vista.
NOT THIS ONE. This one is 3+ hours of use.wow.
Very nice computer, when most computers say their battery life is 3 hours, it turns out it isn't. Nice additional case, more value to the buyer.
Nice and portable, smaller than most notebooks as it is a netbook. Comes with a very long AC Adaptor cable and a white plastic soft case to store the netbook.
VERY VERY nice computer, good keyboard that is of a good size and looks good with different colors and light colors. After researching online I found out I needed a new "wireless driver"; so I downloaded from the MSI website and it fixed the problem.This is my favorite computer because of of its features and size, I bring it traveling and to local bookstore.
I purchased this netbook for my wife and we are both pleased with it. The white color was a big plus hor her as she detests black computer items. The Wind has worked well and we are quite happy with the purchase. I would recommend it to others.
They say that these aren't going to replace your main computer, but so far mine has, and I've still got a ton of memory after downloading some of the same programs I have on my pc. I wanted a netbook so I did some research and found that this is one of the best in it class for the price. I bought it in white and I love it. I'm so happy I bought it. I haven't touched my pc since I got it. It's a beautiful pearl white and it resists fingerprints, which I love since I have a curious 3 year old. Shipping was fast too.I ordered on a wednesday and got it on saturday.
It was meant to be the ultimate portable device in my bag but it isnt. great small computer regarding its internet capabilities.it comes with few software that can be a bless sometimes. The only problem is that is much heavier than I thought. Other than that, great. The battery (6 cells)lasts forever.
This is a really nice netbook. I saw in some website, you can even install Apple Mac OSX inside it too (not legally of course) and have double boot with the installed Windows XP. Fit for purpose since I'll be using it a lot during traveling (and left my bigger laptop at home). It's light weight and the 6 cell battery gives around 4 hours autonomy (browsing with WiFi or watching movie). Somebody even had quadruple boot with XP, OSX, Unix and Windows 7.It's a powerful little machine. Overall I'm very satisfied.The minor drawback I had with my unit, sometimes the cooling fan makes a bit of a noise, but doesn't bother me too much.
